As the Gal Friday to dermatological miracle worker Pat Wexler, I met "M" (as she likes to be called) on my first visit to the esteemed doctor's office. M immediately reminded me of my sister Kimberly. I don't know if it's just me, but when someone looks like someone I am close to I feel instantly comfortable with them. But it is M's uplifting and joyful personality that has been the basis for our ongoing friendship. Ever the professional, M manages to keep Pat's impossibly insane schedule on track. Amazingly, I have never seen M lose her temper or have an unkind word to say about anyone. Besides her beautiful face and lustrous black hair, M exudes an unconscious sexiness that. I feel I captured in her final portrait.
First, the skin is prepped with a light application of moisturizer.
Then, stray brow hairs are tweezed and the overall shape defined. Sparse areas of the brow are filled in using a basic brown eyebrow pencil. Brows are then brushed upward and into place (Note: to keep them there, lightly sweep with clear mascara or brow gel.)
Using the fingertips, a light application of foundation (to match) is applied and blended well past the jawline. (Note: a few dots of lighter foundation were used as spot concealer.)
A rose liquid blush is used to give M's face a "come-from-within" glow. It is clotted on the apples of the cheeks, chin, and temples and blended well. (Note: liquid blush must be worked with quickly. If allowed to set too long in one place it can appear spotty.)
